CANFIELD - There will be a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Church in Canfield celebrated by Rev. Terrence Hazel for Lawrence P. Ferranti, 86 who passed away Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Larry was born April 4, 1928 in Youngstown, a son of the late Frank and Genevieve Berry Ferranti and has been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from South High School and has worked for many years as owner and operator of Larry's Barbershop in Boardman. He was a long time parishioner of St. Michael's Parish and was involved in a Bowling League at Camelot. Larry was very active, besides bowling, he also enjoyed golf, dancing, gardening and loved his classic cars. He will be greatly missed by his wife Clara Dickey whom he married on November 24, 1949 celebrating over 64 years of marriage. He also will be missed by his three sons, Gregory Ferranti of Columbus, Gary (Heide) Ferranti of Wisconsin, Larry Ferranti Jr. of Boardman; a daughter Janet Ferranti of Boardman; twin sisters Teresa Coleman of Poland and Frances Connelly of Lake Milton; six grandchildren Jennifer Gerschutz, Chad Ferranti, Kaitlyn Ferranti, Jared Joseph "JJ" Ferranti, Luke Ferranti, Ronald Spellman; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ava Gerschutz and Jack Spellman. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Ferranti and a sister Margaret Costello.
