Youngstown - There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio officiating for Louis J. Caizza Jr., 89, of Youngstown, who passed away early Saturday morning, September 30, 2017.

Louis was born April 26, 1928 in Youngstown, the son of Louis J. Sr. and Rosemary (Favarula) Caizza and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1945 graduate of East High School and then attended Youngstown State University.

Louis worked for over 30 years as the President of Servomation Corporation for the Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania Region.

He was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and earned an honorable discharge.

Louis was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and was a charter member along with being past president of the Eastside Kiwanis Club.

Lou had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed meeting with his coffee gang in the morning, snow skiing and playing golf.

His wife the former Jeanette Patrone whom he married June 21, 1945 died March 4, 2015.

Louis leaves behind a brother Anthony (Ann) Caizza of Youngstown, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Family and friends pay their respects on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:30 am until 9:55 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel Basilica, Youngstown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman (new location).
