Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish-St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell Ave. Youngstown, for Louis R. Luchisan, 75, of Youngstown, who passed away early Tuesday morning, October 2, 2012 at Hospice House. Louis will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born September 11, 1937 in Youngstown, the son of Joseph Sr. and Rose (Gaudio) Luchisan and was a lifelong area resident. Louis worked for over 31 years at Commercial Sheering Company where he retired from in 1987. He was a 1955 graduate of North High School and was a member of St. Matthias Church. Louis had a passion for all sports. He was an avid bowler along with being a league director for many years for the Bowling Association. He also was a scorekeeper for Belleria in the softball league and collected baseball cards. He leaves behind to hold on to his memories his wife of over 52 years the former Elizabeth "Liz" Vitullo, two children Joseph (Barb) Luchisan and Roseann Luchisan both of Columbiana, a grandson Michael Luchisan, two brothers Vince (Josephine) Luchison of Lake Milton and Joseph Jr. (Nancy) Luchison of Youngstown, a sister Mary Rose Giancola along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no calling hours. Everyone is invited to attend the Mass on Thursday please meet directly at the church. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
