"Aunt Lou" Chicarelli
June 18, 1927 – April 4, 2014
Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, with Father John Keehner officiating for Louise S. (Aunt Lou) Chicarelli, who peacefully passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 4, 2014 with her family by her side.
Lou will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile, giving personality and all her wonderful cookies she would bake.
She was born June 18, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of Anthony and Assunta (Novella) Natale and was a lifelong area resident.
Lou was a 1946 graduate from The Rayen High School and retired in 1985 after working for over 30 years as a clerk for Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
She was a member of St. Christine Church, a honorary member of the Mignonette Garden Club along with being a former member of The Red Hat Society.
Lou was an active volunteer at Our Lady of Conforter Shrine and St. Mary Byzantine Church where she helped make rosaries.
She enjoyed traveling, baking and spending time with her family.
Lou leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her husband of over 52 years Samuel A. Chicarelli whom she married August 5, 1961 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, her favorite nieces Antonia "Toni" (James) Douglass and Janet (Richard) Detwiler, her favorite nephew Sam (Peggy) Natale, her beloved great nephews and nieces James E. III (Angela) Douglass, Atty. A. Ross Douglass, Courtney (Eric) Hayden, Scott (Megan) Detwiler, Kimberly Detwiler, Catelin Natale and Cari Natale along with many other great nieces and nephews and a special great-great niece Julianna Douglass.
Lou was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters Amelia Ross, Antoinetta Natale, Antoinette Natale, and Sandra Zatchok and two brothers Frank and Floyd Natale.
Friends and family are welcome to have a time of remembrance on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:55 a.m. at Saint Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

Lou's family would like to express their sincere appreciation and to say Thank You to Dr. Ronald Aiello, Dr. Mita Raheja and Select Specialty Hospital within St. Elizabeth Hospital for all the excellent care and compassion shown to Lou during her illness.
