Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, Youngstown, preceded by a 9:20 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Louise M. Diorio, 93, of Youngstown, who passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday evening, September 24, 2012 which would have been her 65th. wedding anniversary. Louise will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for being an exceptional mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She was born July 3, 1919 in Youngstown the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Rochelle and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1937 graduate of The Rayen School and a member of St. Dominic Church, the Casa Sovia Club and the Over 55 Club. Prior to her marriage to her beloved husband Daniel she was a secretary with Automatic Sprinkler and Attorney Kryzan. Upon her marriage she was a homemaker and co owner with her husband of the Empire Club Tavern in Youngstown where she made her famous chili hot dog sauce. After her husband's passing away she then worked at the Homemaker Shop in the Southern Park Mall. Louise enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family especially going to all her grandchildren's sporting events. Her entire family will dearly miss her famous spaghetti sauce. Her husband Daniel P. Diorio whom she married September 24, 1947 died January 5, 1976. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories three children Daniel J. Sr. (Jody) Diorio and Dr. William D. (Mary Eileen) Diorio both of Boardman, and Donna (John) Carbon of Canfield, seven grandchildren Daniel J. Diorio Jr., Brianne (Atty. Justin) Alaburda, Maria L. (Atty. Ryan) Melewski, William D. Diorio, John ( FiancAC. Rachael) Carbon, Caitlin E. Diorio and Joseph Carbon, a great granddaughter Emily Alaburda and a great grandson who will be born in the next few weeks, a sister-in-law Rose Rachella of Youngstown, a brother-in-law Donald Donofrio of Liberty Township and many nieces and nephews . Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Samuel Rachella and three sisters Antoinette and Phyllis Rochelle and Amy Donofrio. Friends may call on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
