Margaret I. Amendolara, 95 MASSILLON - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception-Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, celebrated by the Rev. Kevin Peters for Margaret I. Amendolara, 95, who passed away Monday afternoon at Rose Lane Health Center. Margaret was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Campbell, a daughter of John and Rose Farkas Stanko and was a Youngstown resident most of her life, residing the last four years in the Massillon area by her daughter, Margaret. She graduated from Campbell Memorial High School, belonged to Immaculate Conception Parish and worked several years as a press worker for Republic Rubber Works. Her husband, George F. Amendolara, whom she married June 27, 1937, died Sept. 10, 1997, after 60 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed by her three daughters, Georgiann (Steven) Lawrence of Fayetteville, N.C., Arlene (Charles) Howard of Derry, N.H. and Margaret and Edward Elum of Massillon; a son, Samuel (Kim) Amendolara of Canfield; five grandchildren, Mallory, Taylor and Laine Amendolara, and Jeanette and Paul Elum; a sister, Mary Ross of Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Joseph, John and Paul Stanko. Friends may call on Thursday, May 12, 2011, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception - Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 400 Lincoln Park Drive.
