Boardman - Mark Mu, 91, of Boardman, passed away Wednesday evening, November 15, 2017.

Born in China on March 18, 1926, Mark later traveled to Brazil, where he met his wife and started a family, before moving to the United States in 1971.

Through dedication and sacrifice, he achieved the American dream. Mark and his wife were the owners and operators of the House of China Restaurant in Boardman for over 28 years.

Mark is remembered and loved for his strong work ethic and devotion to the betterment of his family. He especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren. Mark was an intelligent man, self-taught and fluent in several languages.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents and siblings and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alzira Mary Fuji Mu, two sons John (Lydia) Mu of California and Mike (Schuyler) Mu of Pittsburgh, three grandchildren Emily, Alex and Archer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Per the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman (new location).
