Obituary

Liberty Township - There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, for Martha E. Rella, 97 of Liberty Township, who went to her Heavenly home on Friday afternoon, February 3, 2012. Martha will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born and raised in the Smokey Hollow part of Youngstown on April 13, 1914, the daughter of John and Nancy (Orofino) Zucco. Martha was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, along with its Mothers of Crucifix Society and the Senior Citizens. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, sewing, listening to music, dancing, doing word find puzzles along with socializing at all the church activities. Her husband Frank A. Rella whom she married November 19, 1934 died May 30, 1985. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her son Paul Sr. (Carol) Rella of Youngstown, four grandchildren Renee (Gary) Boris, Paul Jr. (Eliza) Rella, Brian Rella and Lisa (Don) Foley, fourteen great grandchildren, a brother Salvatore (Irma) Zucco of Anaheim, California, two sisters Magdalene Pesa and Rose Tallerino both of Youngstown, a sister-in-law Mary Zucco, along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, a son Robert Rella, a sister Theresa Langenheim and two brothers Peter and Prosper Zucco. Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:25 a.m. all at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
