Austintown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Mary M. Carnevale, 88, of Austintown, who passed away on Monday evening, January 16, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Mary will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born May 27, 1923 in Youngstown the daughter Joseph and Rose (Modarelli) Falabella and was a lifelong area resident. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown and its Mother of the Crucifix Society, along with being a 1943 graduate of East High School. She enjoyed cooking and baking all the Italian favorites especially around the holidays, but she mostly just loved spending time with her family and friends. Her husband John P. Carnevale whom she married August 7, 1948 died March 15, 1994. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memory three children Angela Carnevale of New Jersey, Vincent Carnevale of Austintown and Lori Carnevale of Columbus, two grandchildren Vincent Carnevale Jr. and Cindy (Ed) Zebosky, two great grandchildren Allison and Zach, a brother Anthony Falabella with whom she made her home, and a sister-in-law Mary Delia of Youngstown. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Joanne Carnevale. Friends may call on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman where the Mothers of Crucifix Society will hold a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
