Youngstown - There will be a funeral service held on Monday, September 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, with Father Kevin Peters officiating, for Mary Josephine (Naples) Collins, 87, of Youngstown, who passed early Thursday morning, September 22, 2106 after a long illness with her loving family by her side. Mary will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile and upbeat and fun loving personality. She was born on the Eastside of Youngstown on September 26, 1928, the daughter of Ralph and Amelia (Feordellise) Naples and was a lifelong proud resident on the Eastside until her passing. Mary was a 1946 graduate of East High School and a longtime member of a member of St. Angela Merci Parish-Sacred Heart Church. She was a proud homemaker and for many years sang in the Youngstown Philharmonic Chorus which she always looked forward to, along with being a poll worker for over 25 years. Mary had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed playing cards, having card parties and bowling in leagues at McGuffey Lanes. Mary loved animals, especially cats and children and all the neighborhood kids would always be visiting her. Her husband Joseph R. "Joe" Collins whom she married June 4, 1949 at Sacred Heart Church died April 3, 2015. She leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her beloved cat Calico and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Friends may call on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. In lieu of flowers material contributions be made in Mary's name to the Hospice of the Valley's Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
