Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception - Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 400 Lincoln Park Dr., Youngstown, with Father Kevin Peters officiating, preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Mary Rose McQuillan, 84, of Youngstown, who passed away Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2011 at the Hospice House after a long illness. Mary will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born January 5, 1927 in Youngstown the daughter of Michael and Mary (Caruso) Pollice and was a life-long area resident. Mary was a homemaker who loved to prepare family meals and watch figure skating. She was a member of Immaculate Conception - Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and was a graduate of East High School. Her husband Thomas McQuillan whom she married November 25, 1947 died November of 1991. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories a daughter Maryann (Joseph) Catanzariti of Youngstown, a son Tom (Gina) McQuillan of Canfield, four grandchildren Dawn (Jason) Roberts, Carla (Matt) Bowan, Jacquelyn (Will) McQuillan Caban and Rocco (Kari) Catanzariti, and six great grandchildren Madison, Morgan, Mason, Mia Sophia, Melia, and Aria. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Frank Pollice and two sisters Josephine Vukovich and Theodora Schlais. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Material contributions may be made in Mary's honor to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland Ohio 44514.
