Poland - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Robert Siffrin officiating, preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Mary R. Murphy, 82, of Poland, who passed away on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Mary will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for being a devoted wife, mom, and nonna. She was born February 8, 1930 in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy, the daughter of Carl and Rose (Potesta) Pallotta and came to the Youngstown area on November 5, 1936 at the age of 6. Mary was a proud homemaker and nothing made her happier than when she was cooking and spending time with them. Her grandchildren always were in the center of heart and the devotion, care and love that she always shown to her family will never be forgotten. Mary was a 1948 graduate of Ursuline High School along with being a member of St. Edward Church and the Ladies Bagnolese Club. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her beloved husband of over 54 years Thomas R. Murphy whom she married on June 15, 1957, three daughters Gloria (Tom) Basista of Mentor, Rosemary (Greg) Fesz of North Olmstead, and Linda Ferrier of Canfield, seven grandchildren Alex and Jaclyn Basista, Maria, Christina, and Gregory Fesz, and Jacob and Vincent Ferrier, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Brock Ferrier. Friends may call on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
