Obituary

Canfield - - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. as celebrant, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Mary Ann Pellegrini, 67, of Canfield, who passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Mary Ann will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile, her bubbly personality and the way she would always make everyone feel welcome. Mary Ann was born September 24, 1948 in Petralla Tifernina, Campobasso, Italy, the daughter of Eduardo and Angelina DiLisio and came to the United States as a young girl. Mary Ann was a 1966 graduate of East High School where she was part of the Honor Society and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica. Mary Ann was a self-employed beautician since 1965 and later worked in partnership with Clip & Curl. Mary Ann treasured all her clients along with all the friendships that were made over the years. She was also a proud homemaker and was a terrific cook and baker especially for all her wonderful Italian dishes and pastries that everyone will miss. She was known for her wedding soup, her homemade lasagna and her favorite tiramisu. Mary Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband Cleto where they would make their annual trip to Daytona Beach and they would stop at all the Casinos to enjoy some games of chance. She also enjoyed going to the dinner dances and working in her flower garden. Mary Ann leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her beloved husband of over 46 years Cleto Pellegrini whom she married on April 26, 1969 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, a son Marc (Mallory) Pellegrini of Michigan, her mother Angelina DiLisio of Poland, a granddaughter Cameron McKenzie Pellegrini, a sister Pina (Edward) Carissimi of Boardman, and a sister-in-law Clara (Joseph) Fusillo along with many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father Eduardo DiLisio. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. Mary Ann's family would like to express their sincere Thanks to Dr. David Lockshaw and Dr. Antoine Chahine for all the dedication and care that was shown to her during her illness.
