Youngstown – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Apostle Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, with Father Joseph Rudjak officiating, preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Mary I. Sadinski, 80, of Youngstown, who was carried off by angels to her Heavenly home Thursday evening, April 17, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Mary will always be remembered and loved for being a dedicated daughter, spouse, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend along with her outgoing personality and strong faith in God. Mary was born February 15, 1934 in Youngstown, the daughter of John Sr. and Julia (Macso) Mislai. She was a 1952 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Mary was a proud homemaker and enjoyed working part-time for Floral Plus. She always put her family first and they will miss all of her excellent cooking and baking, especially of ethnic foods. Mary was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Church along with their Senior Citizen group and also sang in their choir. She was also a member of the SOAR group alongside her husband. She enjoyed Polka Dancing, but she especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, which were the center of her life.
She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her beloved husband of over 58 years Henry S. "Hank" (Zasadzinski) Sadinski, whom she married July 15, 1955, two children Kathleen (David) Basista of Kent and Robert (Christine Esposito) of Tallmadge, four grandchildren whom she adored, Amy and Kevin Basista, and Bobby and Leah Sadinski, two sisters Margaret Tarcy of Sharon, Pa. and Julia Italiano of Boardman and a brother John Jr. (Jean) Mislai of Girard and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made in Mary's name to the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, Ohio 44514. Mary's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to St. Elizabeth Hospital and its entire staff, especially those on the 8th floor, and the staff of Meridian Arms Living Center for all of their excellent care and compassion shown to Mary during her illness, and to the Hospice of the Valley Hospice House staff during her final hours.
