Obituary

Poland - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Church with Father Michael Marchelli officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Matilda D. Crino, 96, of Poland, who passed away Monday evening, October 1, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Matilda will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born September 22, 1916 in Youngstown the daughter of Gaetano and Rosalie (Gentile) Centofanti and was a lifelong area resident. Matilda retired from Weatherbee Coat Company after working 25 years as a presser along with being a homemaker. She was a former member of St. Lucy Church and its Altar and Rosary Guild and currently had been attending St. Charles Church along with belonging to its Over 55 Bingo and card club. Matilda was an outstanding cook along with being a fantastic baker and her family will dearly miss all of her wonderful dishes and desserts. She enjoyed playing cards, doing all sorts of crossword and word search puzzles, but her most enjoyment came from her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren Her husband Carmine Crino whom she married October 7, 1939 died December 22, 1978. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her daughters Rosemary (Gene) Mancini of Poland and Fran Perry of Boardman, seven grandchildren Carmine and Kristy Crino, Gina Marie, Guy (FiancAC. Karla), and John Michael (FiancAC. Laura) Mancini, Tracie (John) Eisenhower and Dena (Jason) Gentilcore, five great grandchildren Silas, Genevieve, Gianna, Madison, and Austen and a sister Erma Galose of Girard. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Robert Crino, three sisters Ida Mikolay, Olga Cavalier, and Viola Thomas-LaCamara, five brothers Herman, Raymond, Mario, Rudy and Renaldi Centofanti. Friends may call on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Coitsville.
