Bend, Oregon: There will be a Mass for the repose of the soul of Michael Cercone on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Youngstown with the Very Rev. Michael J. Cariglio officiating. Michael lost his 6-month battle with cancer on January 29, 2013. Michael will always be remembered and loved for being such a kind and loving husband, father, son, uncle, cousin and friend. He was born on December 17, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of Angelo and Ange Pizzuto Cercone. He was a 1969 graduate of Liberty High School, where he played football and ran track. Michale was then granted a scholarship to Georgia University for his outstanding performance in track. In addition to attending Georgia University, he also attended YSU and graduated from Ohio University in 1974 with his Bachelor's Degree in accounting. Michael was a sales rep for Toledo Scales and also for Reliance Electric before moving to Seattle, WA where he started his own company, Kinetic Solutions Inc. He sold his business in 2008 and he and his family moved to Bend, OR. On February 20, 1982, Michael married Cristine Wilson in Indianola, WA, and they were blessed with a daughter Danielle. The Cercone's lived on Mercer Island, WA and in Indianola, WA. Before moving to Bend, Oregon. Michael enjoyed golf, tennis and his extensive traveling. He is survived by his wife, Cristine Cercone, and his daughter, Danielle Cercone, of Bend, OR, his parents, Angelo and Ange Cercone of Liberty Twp., and his sister Joanne (Jay) Pounds, of Birmingham, AL., along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces.
