Youngstown - On May 10, 2015, Michelle Ellington, 59, of Youngstown, was carried by angels off to her heavenly home from cardiac arrest at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman, Campus. Her parents, Robert Ellington Sr. and Barbara Bohannan Ellington Powell brought Michelle into this world on August 2, 1955 in Orange, New Jersey. When she was 18, her family moved to the Youngstown area. Michelle graduated from East High School in 1974. She worked for many years at Goodwill Industries and Valley Foods both in Youngstown. Michelle enjoyed going to work and loved working with people. Michelle was a "people person" who loved to socialize. For Michelle family was everything and she loved to spend time with them. She adored her grandmother and was considered to be the "favorite." She was always on the go with her mother and they loved to play BINGO. Michelle was also a devoted aunt who loved to spoil her nieces, nephews, and cousins. At home, she enjoyed watching game shows along with doing crossword puzzles for hours. Michelle leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters Donna Ezeokoli of N. Brunswick, New Jersey, Shawn Ellington Hough of Youngstown, and April Lantz of Wilmington, Delaware, three brothers Robert Ellington of Irvington, New Jersey, Patrick Ellington of Youngstown and Donald Lantz of Bloomfield, New Jersey, two special nephews whom she loved dearly, Zack James of Youngstown and Marion James of East Orange, New Jersey along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend Yvonne Jackson. Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandmother Margaret Bohannan and a sister Robin James. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown.
