Obituary

POLAND - Private services were held on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, with Rev. Kevin Peters officiating for Patricia (Casey) Davanzo, 72, who passed away Monday morning, Aug. 29, 2011, with her loving family by her side. Patricia will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. Patricia was born July 21, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of Patrick and Helen (Conaboy) Casey and lived most of her life in the Youngstown area.She and her husband then moved to Las Vegas in 1995, returning home in 2006. She was a 1957 graduate of East High School. She was a dedicated mother and housewife and previously worked for The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, retiring in 1995. Patricia was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church, which is now Immaculate Conception-Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She also was very active in the Saint Jude's Shrine and had a very special place in her heart for the patron Saint Jude. Patricia was also very dedicated to the cause of helping the children. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed spending the winter months with her husband in Las Vegas, along with the casinos there and locally at Mountaineer Park. She leaves behind to hold on to her memories, her husband, Daniel Davanzo, whom she married on June 22, 1957; a son, David Davanzo of Salem; a daughter, Danette (Jim) Fisher of Boardman; a grandson, Daniel J. Davanzo of Leetonia; a brother, William (Shelia) Casey of Austintown; and a sister, Ellen (Jim) Mauch of Austintown; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, whom she deeply loved; four sisters, Theresa, Katherine, Mary Ellen and Anna; and two brothers, Michael and Thomas Casey. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Contributions in Patricia's name can be sent to St. Jude's Shrine, 512 W.
