Poland - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, St. Matthias Church, Youngstown, Father Martin Celuch, officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Patricia E. LaRosa, 85, of Poland, who passed away early Monday morning, December 2, 2013. Patricia will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born March 18, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of James and Alice (Panko) Gibbons and was a lifelong area resident. Pat graduated Valedictorian of her class from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1946. She was employed as a supervisor over 30 years with The Ohio Bureau of Employment Services and retired in 1988 along with being a homemaker. Pat was a member of the American Business Woman, the Christian Woman's Lunch Group and active in the PERI Retirement Group. She was a long time active member St. Matthias Church its quilters group, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and was a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, making quilts, but she loved to cook and read, and especially loved spending time with her family. Her husband Augustine William LaRosa whom she married September 12, 1950 died August 29, 2010. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories a daughter Kathleen (David) Williams of Canfield, two sons James (Charlene) LaRosa of New Springfield and Gerald (Lindy) LaRosa of Australia, ten grandchildren Amanda Williams, Melissa Williams, Jason LaRosa, Laura LaRosa, Christie LaRosa, James (Jessica) LaRosa, Hannah LaRosa, Aedan LaRosa, Angie (Rampage) Stevens, and Jason Kook, and four great grandchildren Brendan, Nicholas, Nathan and Nina. Besides her parents and husband Patricia was preceded in death by an Aunt Nora (Nick) Babik who helped raise her. Friends may call on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman where the infant Jesus of Prague Guild will hold a prayer service at 1:45 p.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
