Obituary

Brookfield - There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, with Pastor Norman Schinkel officiating, for Patricia A. "Pat" Costello, 81, of Brookfield, who passed away early Wednesday morning, November 13, 2013 with her loving family by her side after a 2 year courageous battle with Creatzfeldt Jakob Disease. Pat will always be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help others. She was born August 31, 1932 in Warren, the daughter of Ante and Anna (Lendak) Kranitz and was a lifelong area resident. Pat was a 1951 graduate of Lordstown High School. She was employed with City Loan Company, Copperweld Steel Company and retired after 32 years of employment from Cold Metal Products. Pat was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Warren the Bible Study Group, the Woman's Guild and Chairman of the Prayer Chain all at the church. She was also a member of the Ladies Lunch Group from Cold Metal Products, the Red Hats Society in Howland, the Christian Women (Warren Connection), the Northern Star Quilters Club, the Buckeye Tole Decorative Painters and on the Democratic Women's Club of Trumbull County. She enjoyed her summer home at Holiday Campland with her family and friends. Pat was a very talented painter, and she painted the twelve days of Christmas that hung on the Christmas Tree in The White House. She also traveled varies places all over the world and throughout the United States for the tole painting conventions. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her husband John J. Costello whom she married on December 2, 1995 and his three loving daughters Donna (Chris) Flauto of Poland, Cathy Brooke of Youngstown, and Julianne (William) George of Struthers and a nephew David Perry of Pennsylvania. She also enjoyed her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren and her beloved pet cat Snickers. Besides her parents Pat was preceded in death by a sister Doris Resnyak and a nephew Larry Perry. Friends may call on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown. In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the Hospice House 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514. Pat's family would like to extend a special Thank You to the entire staff of Hospice House and especially to her 3 home caregivers who cared for her for over a year during her illness.
