Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, Austintown, with Father Gregory Fedor officiating, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Patricia Ann "Patty" Tarajack, 73, of Youngstown, passed away on Saturday evening, September 20, 2014 with her family by her side. She will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile and giving personality. Patricia was born May 20, 1941 in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Anne (Sipos) Tarajack and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and then continued her education by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education along with her Master's Degree in Education-Guidance Counseling from Youngstown State University. Patricia was employed as a teacher for many years with St. Nicholas Elementary School and then retired from Liberty High School as a guidance counselor. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Austintown, the Altrusa International, City Scape, Cultural Alliance, Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area, Inc., Friends at Fellows Riverside Gardens, Girard Herb Group and the Johnny Appleseed Garden Club. Patty had many enjoyments throughout her life and the ones she cherished most were attending her nephews sporting events, traveling, golfing, and gardening. She also had a passion for strawberries and collected all sorts of crafts and candles of them, but she especially enjoyed eating them. Patty was an avid sports fan, always rooting on her favorite teams The Ohio State University, along with the Cleveland Browns and Indians. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her two nephews Brian Tarajack of Poland and William (Kimberly) Tarajack of Commerce Twp, Michigan, two great nephews Tyson and Tucker Tarajack and a great niece Victoria Tarajack along with a host of relatives and close friends. Besides Patty's parents, she was preceded in death by a brother William Tarajack. Family and friends may call from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
