Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating, for Patrick F. "Pat" Fusillo, 56, of Youngstown, who passed away suddenly Thursday evening, May 23, 2013 from an apparent heart attack. Pat was born June 6, 1956 in Youngstown, the son of Michael and Mary (Hamner) Fusillo. He was a graduate of Chaney High School. Pat owned and operated for over 20 years Fusillo Home Improvements which he took great pride in every job that was done by his company. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the American Legion Post 301, and was former Commander of ITAM Post 3 on Meridian Rd. Pat was an extremely proud United States Marine Corp. Veteran having served in the Vietnam War over seas. He earned the rank of Private First Class and received the following decorations; Rifle Marksman Badge, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the Marine Corp. Reserves. He was proud of his Italian Heritage and enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing Texas Holdem, but he especially loved spending time with his family. He leaves behind to hold on to his memories three sons Shawn Fusillo, Matthew Fusillo and Dominic Fusillo all of Youngstown, a step son Jacob Miles of Howland, a grandson Ashtyn Fusillo and two sisters Susan Chakos of Florida and Lisa (FiancAC. Dan Mikus) Silvestri of Mineral Ridge. Besides his parents Patrick was preceded in death by two sisters an Infant Elizabeth Fusillo and Carol Patek and a brother Michael Fusillo. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 9:55 a.m.at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown. . Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at a later date in Rittman National Cemetery where military honors will be observed.
