Wright Jr., 68, of Youngstown, who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Hospice House with his loving family by his side on Wednesday afternoon March 16, 2011. Paul will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for the love he showed to his wife, sons, grandchildren, family, friends, and his dogs. He had a zest for life even though he had cancer for the past three years. Paul was always optimistic, upbeat, strong and courageous as he fought his disease. Anyone that knew Paul loved him and he was a friend to everyone whom he met. He was just that kind of guy. He was born August 26, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Paul W. Sr. and Margaret (Stanley) Wright and moved to the Youngstown area in 1966. Paul was employed at General Motors Lordstown Plant for 22 years and after retiring he owned and operated Homemade Delights a woodcraft company along with working for the Diocese of Youngstown. He was a member of the UAW Local 312 and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and earned the rank of E-3. He told many stories of the time spent serving his country and was awarded the Rifle Marksman Badge. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and landscaping in the summer along with being an extensive traveler. He loved motorcycles, cars and going to Myrtle Beach. Paul was a history and animal planet buff. You could listen to him for hours just sitting around and telling stories. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories his wife of over 29 years the former Karen Sanfrey-Tarr whom he married on March 13, 1982, two sons Paul W."Trey" III (Debbie) Wright and Eric S. (Becky) Tarr, eight grandchildren Tarah, Paul W. "Bubby" IV, and Kasey Wright, Brandon and Ashton Tarr, and Amber, Amanda, and Alissa Belasco, a brother William Richard (Edie) Wright, three sisters Sally (Bill) Venzen, Mickey (Paul) Huggins, and Marilyn (Robert) Justus. He also leaves his father and mother-in-law Don (Esther) Sanfrey, a brother-in-law Don "Sunny" Sanfrey, two sisters-in-law Valerie (Michael Lipps) Sanfrey and Debbie Horvath, his beloved three dogs Coco, Tiny, and Bear, and many fabulous nieces, nephews and friends.
