Youngstown - - There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail as Celebrant and Chorbishop Anthony Spinosa as Con-celebrant for Paula Y. Dohar, 85, of Youngstown, who peacefully passed away Monday afternoon, November 7, 2016. Paula will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her humbleness, her kind-heartedness and her sense of humor. She was born June 29, 1931 in Ciudad Monte de Rey, Mexico, and moved to Detroit and then to the Youngstown area. Paula was the daughter of John and Zahia Rose Yapur. Paula was a proud homemaker and was a true matriarch of the family. She helped raise many of her nieces and nephews and showed her love throughout the whole family. Her family will miss all her Lebanese cooking and especially her baking along with her famous Lebanese cheese. She was employed for the American Parcel Post, and then retired from the Maronite Center. She was a proud member of St. Maron Church, its St. Tobias Society and the former St. George Society. Paula also loved the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon where she did volunteer work during the feast days. Paula had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing at the family gatherings, playing BINGO, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Her husband John M. Dohar whom she married November 25, 1950 died August 24, 1972. She leaves to cherish her memory three children Albert (Barbara) Dohar of Boardman, Theresa (Ken) Tranovich of Austintown and Michael (Trena) Dohar of Boardman, five grandchildren Marie Elizabeth Dohar, John Dohar, Erin (Mike) Gentry, Chris (Deborah) Tranovich and Brittany Dohar, a great granddaughter Mikaela Gentry and a brother-in-law Joseph Dohar of Mineral Ridge. Besides her parents and husband, Paula was preceded in death by three brothers Peter, Tony and George Yapur and a sister Victoria Yapur. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., where the Prayers of Incense Prayer Service will take place at 6:00 pm., friends and family may also pay respects on Friday morning, November 11, 2016 from 9:00 am until 9:45 am at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Burial will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
