Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, Youngstown, at 9:30 a.m. with the Very Rev. Msgr. Peter Polando officiating preceded by a 9:00 a.m. prayer service at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Robert A. "Bobo" Eusanio, 85, of Youngstown who passed away early Friday morning December 30, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boardman. Robert will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born August 2, 1926 in Youngstown the son of Samuel and Elvira (Carano) Eusanio, and was a life-long area resident. Robert was a long time and active member of Sts Cyril & Methodius Church, where he belonged to its men's club and sang in the church choir. He coached football, basketball, and baseball at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Grade School, and also coached in Uptown Kiwanis Little League Baseball Association. Robert was a 1944 graduate of East High School and in 1994 was inducted into the East High School Hall of Fame for basketball. He was a member of the Woodrow Wilson High School Booster Club. He retired in 1983 after working for 39 years from the Republic Steel Company as a Stationary Engineer, and then worked for the Youngstown School System in the maintance department for 7 years and retired in 1990. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, gardening, golfing, dancing, bowling, and watching all types of sports. Robert loved his 7 dogs that he owned throughout his lifetime and especially enjoyed walking them along with going to the race track with his wife and cooking his Italian specialties. His wife whom he loved and adored, the former Helen Julia Klein whom he married November 22, 1949 died March 29, 2008. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories, five sons Robert (Rose) Eusanio of Poland, David M. Eusanio of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mark (Donna) Eusanio of Youngstown, Ronald (Dolores) Eusanio of Tracy, California, Michael (Laura) Eusanio of Concord, Ohio, eleven grandchildren Lori (Chris) Pascarella, Angela (Dr. David) Roncone, Helena, Nicholas, Jonathan, Dominic, Christina, Ryan, Robert, Sarah, and Lauren Eusanio and a brother Dr. Richard (Judy) Eusanio. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister Betty Ellis and a brother Samuel Eusanio. Friends may call on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
