Roger Rene Launey, 60, passed away on Sunday May 3rd, 2015 in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from H.B. Plant High School in Tampa and received a B.A. in Business Management from the University of South Florida. He raised two beautiful daughters with his loving wife Cynthia, who he stood by through a 15yr battle to cancer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Roger was a man that would talk to anyone and go out of his way for everyone. He was great to be around and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia Anne Launey and his parents Pen and Phyllis Launey. He is survived by his daughters Sarah Brooke and Melissa O'Leary, sons in law Wayne Brooke and Brennan O'Leary, grandchildren Harrison and Maggie Brooke and Andie O'Leary, father in law Carl Johnson and Virginia Johnson. There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, May 13th at 11:00am at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 10900 McCormick Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225. In lieu of flowers, material donations may be made in Roger's name to Florida Dachshund Rescue, fldr.org.
