Poland - Rosann R. Thomas, 72, of Poland, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, June 28, 2016. Rosann will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile, her sense of humor along with many other beautiful characteristics. She was born October 28, 1943 in Akron, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Ann (Hoffman) Mesko and was a lifelong area resident. Rosann was a graduate of Akron Central High School and then continued her studies attending Akron University Majoring in Science. She was the proud owner of R&R Signs in Youngstown for over 35 years. Rosann was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Boardman, the Ashtabula Yacht Club, the Youngstown Power Squadrons, a ski club, and the Youngstown Kiwanis where she was a past president. Rosann had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Ron, entertaining and socializing with family and friends, and boating on Lake Erie. She loved to just sit on the dock and spend time with everyone. Her husband Ronald V. Thomas whom she married November 11, 1978 died November 28, 2011. Rosann is survived by her step son James "Curt" (Kerry) Thomas, a step daughter Jennifer (Bill) Anspach, three step grandchildren Austin, Haley, and Mackenzie, a brother Chuck Mesko of Ohio, a sister Maria (Donald) Mackey of Kentucky, three nephews Charles "Mike" (Karen) Gardner of Florida, Rory F. Backus of California and Charles (Sonya) Mesko of Arizona along with many great nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Per Rosann's wishes a caring cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
