Youngstown - There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Rose M. Allegretto, 99, of Youngstown, who passed away on Sunday evening, June 12, 2011. Rose will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born March 13, 1912 in Rankin, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Vincent and Consiglia (Marsiglia) Cafaro and moved to the Youngstown area in 1941. Rose retired from the Youngstown Board of Education in 1972. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church for over 50 years and currently a member of Immaculate Conception-Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Rose was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed trips to Casino's especially Mountaineer. She loved nothing more than cooking and baking for her family gatherings and friends during the holidays. She leaves behind to hold on to her memories her 3 sons Joseph (Rosemary) Allegretto of Boardman, Frank "Cheech" Allegretto of Youngstown, and Paul (Debbie) Allegretto of Naples, Florida, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a sister Antoinette Amato of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Lena DiGennaro, and three brothers Nicholas, Dominic, and James Cafaro.
