Struthers - There will be a Memorial mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, Struthers, with Father Bernard Bonnot officiating for Rose Marie DeMart, 90, of Struthers, who passed away on Saturday evening, November 30, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Rose will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born October 7, 1924 in Careri, Reggio Calabria, Italy the daughter of Antonio and Mary (Stranges) Musolino and moved to the United States as a young child. Rose was a graduate of East High School and a member of St. Nicholas Church. She was employed with Youngstown City Schools as head cook for over 15 years before she started a self catering business along with being a wonderful homemaker. Rose's family will miss all her exceptional cooking and baking especially her Easter Bread and holiday cookies. She was an avid reader and nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. Her husband John R. DeMart Sr. whom she married September 7, 1946 died August 29, 1981. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories two sons Chester A. (Carol) DeMart and John R. Jr. (Marla) DeMart both of Struthers, seven grandchildren Brandy, Nicholas, Gina, Anthony, Jonathan, Joya and Michael along with a great granddaughter Mia Marie. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Antonio DeMart, a sister Josephine Musolino and a brother Thomas Musolino. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 until 9:55 at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, 746 Fifth Street, Struthers. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place following the mass at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Coitsville.
