Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 131 E Wood St., Lowellville, with Father John Jerek officiating for Roslyn Marie Parisi, 66, of Youngstown, who peacefully passed away on Thursday evening, March 3, 2016 after an extended illness. Roslyn will be remembered and loved for her great sense of humor, feisty attitude, and perseverance. She was born November 26, 1949 in Youngstown, the daughter of Vincent J. and Eleanor (Congemi) Parisi. Roslyn lived in California for several years before returning to the Youngstown area to be with family. Roslyn suffered a stroke due to a brain aneurysm at the age of 28, prior to this she was employed as a beautician and a waitress. She was a 1967 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews who knew her as their special aunt. Roz always had a way of telling great stories from the past. She was fond of gambling and watching football, (especially the Steelers), and loved passing out candy to visitors and the staff at Greenbriar. She leaves behind her sister Jayme (Robert) Moran of Edinburg, PA, brother Carmen (Irene) Parisi of Elmhurst, IL, her nieces and nephews Christopher (Michele) Quattro, Jason (Angela) Quattro, Eric (Katie) Quattro and Lauren Parisi, along with Carmen, Kenna, Vincent, Caroline, Gianna and Gabby (her special loves), cousins, aunts and uncles all of whom she was exceptionally close to. Roslyn was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 10:00 am until 10:55 am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 131 E Wood St., Lowellville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
