Youngstown - There were private services held on Tuesday morning, October 25, 2011 at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, with Father Kevin Peters officiating for Severina "Carmen" Perez, 77, of Youngstown, who passed away on Thursday evening, October 20, 2011. Carmen will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born November 17, 1933 in Lares, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Eustaquio and Ernestina (Gonzalez) Ramos and lived in the Youngstown area the last 50 years. Carmen was of the Catholic faith and a devoted homemaker. She had a great passion for cooking, music and her family. Her husband Jose Perez Santigo whom she married July 25, 1959 died April 22, 1996. She leaves behind to hold on to her memories her three daughters Linda Cruz (Robert Smith) of Campbell, Deborah Perez with whom she made her home, and Valarie (Mike) Julian of Boardman, three grandchildren O'Brian (Rebekah) Wall of Girard, Francisco Cruz of Florida, and Alejandro Cruz of Youngstown, two great grandchildren Aaliyah Wall and Nevaeh Cruz two brothers Jose and David Ramos of Puerto Rico, and eight sisters Sarita Ramos Esther Ramos, Natividad (Johnny) Deamara, and Maria Ramos all of New York and Proovidencia Ramos, Margarita Ramos, Gloria Ramos, and Inocencia Ramos all of Puerto Rico. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers Emergildo, Sigfredo, and Angel Ramos. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial took place at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
