Canfield - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, with Father Christopher Cicero officiating. For Stephen J. "Skid" Amendol, 55, of Canfield, who passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Stephen will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born August 30, 1957 in Youngstown, the son of Arthur and Thelma (Stein) Amendol and was a lifelong area resident. Stephen was a 1975 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School where he played football. He was employed with various contractors as a laborer working throughout the Mahoning Valley. Stephen was a member of the Laborers Union Local #125, the Youngstown Area Dart Association along with many golf and dart leagues. He loved all sports and enjoyed playing darts, softball, and golf. He was a proud fan always rooting on the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame. He leaves behind to hold on to his memories his mother Thelma with whom he made his home, two sisters Karen (Bill) Johnson of Canfield and Tina Ammendolia of Columbus, two brothers Joe Amendol of Austintown and Tom Amendol of Columbus, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
