Obituary

Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, for Susie M. Mandoline, 93, of Youngstown, who passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, August 18, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Susie will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends for her smile and sweet personality. She was born August 16, 1922 in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Cruciana) Mandoline and was a lifelong area resident. Susie was a graduate of East High School and began her career as a secretary for M & M Sheet Metal Company for over 21 years and then retired from Mahoning County Building Inspection Department after 34 years of service. Susie was a devoted lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica. She was a member and past treasurer of the Mothers of Crucifix Society, Senior Citizens and served as a Spaghetti Dinner volunteer. Susie had many passions throughout her lifetime. She especially enjoyed doing volunteer work, reading, spending time with her family and was a faithful Cleveland Indians fan. Susie leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories two nephews Michael (Beverly) Paris and John (Mary Ellen) Paris both of Youngstown, five nieces Janet (Eric) Grimm of Columbiana, JoAnn Ginnis (John Craig) and Nancy (William) Terlesky both of Youngstown, Joyce (Hans) Hansen of Canton, MI, and Elaine (Robert) Christmas of Genoa, Oh, 13 great nieces and nephews and 15 great-great nieces and nephews along with numerous friends. Besides her parents Susie was preceded in death by a sister Vincenza Paris and a brother Julius Mandoline. Family and friends may call on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 9:00 am until 9:55 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
