Greenford - Thomas E. "Tom" Tipton, 72, of Greenford, passed away on May 22, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Tom will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his outgoing and caring personality along with the ability to make a friend with everyone he met. He was born April 12, 1944 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania the son of Leonard and Elizabeth Tipton. Tom graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and Business Management from Youngstown State University. He was co-owner of Tipton's Lawn & Landscape Inc. with his son Tim for over 23 years. Tom was a member of the Salem Hills Golf Club, the Masonic Lodge and the Greenford Rotary Club. Tom had many passions throughout this life. He enjoyed doing wood carving along with building modern airplanes, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his granddaughter Brooklyn. He had a true passion for golf and would play every opportunity he could. He leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his beloved wife of over 46 years the former Loretta Yiannaki whom he married June, 28, 1969, a son Tim Tipton and (Amy Pierce), a daughter Christina (Brian) Naymick, the apple of his eye his granddaughter Brooklyn, two sisters Betty "Dana" (Ray) Shirr and Joan (Henry) Bocchino and a sister-in-law Marie Tipton. Besides his parents Tom was preceded in death by a two brothers Larry and Bobby Tipton. Family and friends can help celebrate Tom's life on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Rd., Canfield, Ohio.
