Youngstown - Services will be at 9:15AM Monday at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, Boardman and 10:00AM at St. Luke Church, Boardman for Tony Messuri, 89, who passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday evening. Tony was born February 24, 1923 in Camigliano Caserta, Italy the son of Domenico and Maria (Parisi) Messuri. He grew up in Italy where he owned and operated a motorcycle / bicycle shop. He also served in the Italian Army during World War II. While living in Italy he met his beloved wife the former Rose Capezzuto. They were married in Italy on October 14, 1948, and then moved to the Youngstown area to raise their family. They were married for over 57 years until her passing away on March 29, 2006. Tony retired from Youngstown Sheet & Tube after 35 years where he was a quality control inspector in the pipe cutting department. He was a member of St. Luke Church and the Napolitan Society. He was devoted to his wife and and his three sons and grandchildren. Tony truly enjoyed working in his garden and making his homemade wine which he loved sharing with his family and friends. Tony will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for being generous and kind hearted. He leaves to cherish his precious memories three sons Dominic (Susan) Messuri, Anthony Messuri, and Joseph (Phyllis) Messuri all of Canfield, six grandchildren Kristin (fiancAC. Jacob), Joseph, Michael, Marie, Anthony, and Victoria. In Italy he leaves two brothers Gaetano Messuri and Pietro "Pasquale" Messuri, six nieces, and many cousins. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Rosina Sabatiello and a daughter-in-law Linda Messuri.
