Youngstown – Vera Alberta (Patten) Nelson, 91, of Boardman, formerly of Hubbard passed away Friday morning, January 13, 2017 was the beloved wife of the late Paul Nelson.

She was born January 17, 1925 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Albert and Viola (Hunt) Patten.

Alberta will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for having a big heart and a caring personality. She was a woman that had great faith in God.

She was a member of the Hubbard Historical Society and was also a longtime active member of Bethel Lutheran Church

She leaves behind to hold onto her memories her sisters Clara Wallack and Martha Legal, and a brother Phillip (Katherine) Patten along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband Paul Nelson, a sister Pauline Darko and a brother Jesse Roy Patten.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman (new location), and Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 12:30 pm until 12:50 pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Dr. Boardman.

There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Dr. Boardman, with Pastor Richard Kidd officiating.

Entombment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown
