Austintown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday. August 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Youngstown for Victoria R. Hack, 83, of Austintown, who passed away early Saturday morning, August 20, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Victoria will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends, throughout her life Victoria touched many lives. She will never be forgotten, her memory will be forever in a flower, a rainbow, a snowflake and sunset. She will always be in the gentle hands of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Victoria was born January 5, 1928 in Youngstown, one of seven children to her parents Dominic and Martha (Abbatista) DeNiclo (DeNicholas). She attended Wood St. School on Summit Ave. She was employed at F.W. Woolworth's Department Store in downtown Youngstown and then worked for over 17 years at the Masonic Temple on Wick Ave. Victoria was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and The Mothers of the Crucifix society at the church. Victoria was also known affectionately as "OG" to her grandchildren. Her greatest love was her family, and she enjoyed playing BINGO, shopping at Rulli Bros. Market, making quilts, crocheting baby blankets and sweaters, and giving these as gifts from her heart. She leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories, her three daughters, Clara (Charles) Donchatz of Austintown, with whom she made her home, Martha (Robert) Weems of Austintown, and Victoria Maietta of Mineral Ridge, two sons Walter (Marsha) Hack Jr. of Gulfport Mississippi, and John (Denise) Hack of Mineral Ridge, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a brother Anthony DeNicholas of Youngstown, her twin nieces who she helped raise Nina Lowery and Tina Bellino, along with their brother Anthony DeNicholas and a niece Nancy Froslear, who would spend her whole summer vacation with her aunt. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers Leonard DeNiclo, Giuseppe, Guy, Daniel and Joseph DeNicholas, a sister Mary Leo and a granddaughter Lisa Timmerman. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman where the Mothers of Crucifix will hold a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
