Virginia will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her generosity, the love she showed to everyone and being so proud of her Italian heritage. She was born October 12, 1931 in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Rosemary (Costello) Cuccarese and was a lifelong area resident. Virginia was a graduate of East High School and a charter member of St. Luke Church where she was instrumental in starting their festival along with participating in all their activities. She then became an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica. Virginia was a proud homemaker and always put her family above anything else. She was truly the matriarch of the family and all of them along with all their friends will miss all the all of her excellent Italian dishes, because when you came to Virginia's house the door was always open. She was especially known for her wonderful spaghetti sauce, eggplant parmesan, veal and who could forget those grandma cookies she always made with love. Virginia enjoyed canning, gardening, walking, and traveling with her husband, but she especially enjoyed all the trips to Atlantic City where she loved to walk the board walk and gamble at the casinos. Her husband Stephen Colucci whom she married on May 17, 1952 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica died February 27, 2001. Virginia leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her two sons Mark S. (Rosemary) Colucci and Michael F. Colucci both of Youngstown, a daughter Elaine (Ron) Rothstein of Portland Oregon, six grandchildren Jenna, Gianna and Mark A. Colucci, Brittany, Ronnie and Christopher Rothstein and two great grandchildren Nicholas and Santino.
