Youngstown - There will be a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian, Rd., Youngstown, with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating for Virginia George, 97, of Youngstown, who passed away late Friday evening, October 4, 2013 with her loving family right by her side. Virginia will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends for her sweet and humble personality, her devotion to God, and her award winning smile that would always brighten everyone up. She was born March 11, 1916 in Youngstown the daughter of Aziz and Liza (Nagem) Nassar and was a lifelong area resident. Virginia was a proud homemaker and adored her family where she always made them number one priority. She was referred to by many family and friends as Eynee (the eye of my heart). Virginia was truly blessed to have lived a full and prosperous life and her legacy will live on in the hearts of many. She adored her family so much and always made them number one priority. She was a lifelong member of St. Maron Church and was one of its oldest living members. Her strong devotion to God and the Blessed Mother was exemplified by her husband Michael as being one of the main founders for the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson. Her husband Michael Charles George whom she married October 19, 1939 died October 16, 1971. Virginia leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her children Dr. Robert J. (Goldie) George of Florida and Barbara (Walt) Sardich with whom she made her home, five grandchildren Michael T. (Janet) George of Akron, Mark C. (Marie) George of Florida, Michelle George of Akron, Erik (Erin) Sardich of Stow and Todd (Julie) Sardich of Boardman, four great grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart Stella, Lily, Sam and Michael, a sister Marie Nassief of Canfield and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Virginia was preceded in death by a brother Sam Nassar and two sisters Rose Mike and Sue David. Friends may call on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman, where the Prayers of Incense Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., and again on Tuesday October 8, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. at St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. Virginia's family would like to express a special Thank You to Dr. Ron Aiello and Dr. David Hoffman, the Inn at Christine Valley and the Hospice House for all the care and compassion that was shown to Virginia during her illness.
