Boardman - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Boardman, with Father Philip Rogers officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Wilhelmine M. "Willie" Donofrio, 83, of Boardman, who passed away, early Sunday morning, August 3, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Willie will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her great personality and all the love and affection she would always show to others. She was born November 29, 1930 in Hubbard, the daughter of Fredrick and Mary (Bolchalk) Brunswick and raised by her step father Joseph Maxim due to the untimely passing of her father when she was one year old. Willie was a 1949 graduate of Ursuline High School and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. She was a realtor during the late 1970's but Willie was always proud of her most important job as being a wife, mother, grandmother as well as being a homemaker. She loved her family very much and always looked forward to the Sunday dinners they would share together. Willie never missed any of her son or grandchildren's sporting events. Willie was an avid Cleveland sports fan. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters, fine dining, and playing cards especially Bridge. Willie and her husband would take their annual trip to Florida every winter to visit with family. She leaves behind to hold on to her memories, her beloved husband of over 59 years Rudolph "Rudy" Donofrio, whom she married November 6, 1954, three children Nancy Testa of Poland, Marianne Donofrio of North Lima and Jeffrey Donofrio of Poland, two grandchildren Alyssa and Andrew Testa, three sisters Caroline (Nelson) Gustafson of Poland, Judy (Tom) Terihay of Naples, Florida and Margaret Maxim of Youngstown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Fredrick Brunswick and mother and step father Mary (Joseph) Maxim. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland. Material contributions may be made in Willie's name to Hospice House 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514. On behalf of Willie's family they would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Shannon McNally and the entire staff of the Hospice House for all the care and compassion shown to Willie during her illness.
