Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church, Boardman with Father Joseph Fata officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for William George "Bill" Santor, 75, of Boardman, who passed away Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2013, with his loving family by his side. Bill will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born March 27, 1938 in Youngstown, the son of Andrew M. and Dorothy Jane (Hoover) Santor and was a lifelong area resident. Bill was a Lease Consultant with GMAC for over 28 years and retired in 1992. He was a member of St. Luke Church and the Catholic War Veterans Post 1292 in Youngstown. Bill was a 1956 graduate of East High School where he was an outstanding athlete lettering 3 years in golf and 2 years in basketball and football. Bill received a scholarship to attended Ohio University where he continued his golf career. He was a member of the Ohio University Mid American Conference Champions from 1958 until 1960 and was the individual winner in the 1958 Ohio Inter Collegiate and 1960 Mid American Conference Champ. Bill was a member of the Y Golf League where he held the low average 4 times and past president of Penn Ohio Golf League for numerous years where he held the low average 6 times. Bill was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis His wife the former Nancy Jean Marsicola whom he married June 22, 1963 died May 22, 2004. He leaves behind to hold on to his memories three sons Andrew M. (Joyce) Santor of Boardman, William G. Santor Jr. of Howell, Michigan, and Michael A. (Karen) Santor of Appleton, Wisconsin, ten grandchildren Katie, Samantha, Alexis, Alaina, Jessica, Caroline, Will, Gabrielle, Jennifer and Michael Santor, two brothers Robert A. "Bob" (Danna) Santor and Edward (Carol) Santor both of Youngstown and two sisters Sandy Mayerchak Lakeland, Florida and Kathy Marino of Youngstown. Besides his parents and wife Bill was preceded in death by a still born daughter Mary Nancy Santor who passed away November 13, 1965. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
