While on leave on June 9, 1945, she married the late PFC Albert J Pavel.  They both returned to active duty shortly thereafter.  They were happily married for 31 years.

Ann loved traveling and was able to visit many places in the U.S.A., Canada, the Far East, and Europe over the years.  She was privileged to meet and receive a personal blessing from Pope John Paul II on a pilgrimage in Italy. Her hobbies included bowling, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, crocheting, knitting, sewing and spending time with her family. Ann also was loved watching and rooting on her favorite teams the Cleveland Indians and Browns.

Ann will be missed by her two children Jeannette (John) Carter of Virginia and Joseph (Kim) Pavel of Canfield, her beloved three grandchildren Jeffrey (Kayla) Carter, Darlene (Matthew) Moyer, and Kevin (Laura) Carter, three great grandchildren Pierce and Crew Carter and Ethan Carter.  She also leaves a sister Sophie Pupino and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
