Constance Berardino Obituary

Boardman – Constance Ann “Connie” Berardino, 67, of Boardman, peacefully passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Connie will always be remembered for her bright smile, generous spirit, kindness, and dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was born August 10, 1956, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph F. and Saada (Menhem) Simon and was a lifelong area resident.

Connie was a graduate of Ursuline High School. She always made her family a top priority, especially her grandchildren, and looked forward to spending time with them. Connie owned and operated the Rib Tickler Restaurant for many years, along with helping her family at Cedar’s Lounge and Restaurant in downtown Youngstown.

Connie had a strong devotion and relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Praise Assembly of God in Niles, where she participated in Bible study and other church activities.

Connie had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, socializing with friends, staying active, and going to the beach on vacation. Most of all, she loved having her sons and grandchildren gathered around her at home, where she was always ready with a big homemade meal and a game of cards.

She married the love of her life Ronald “Ron” Rocco Berardino, whom she married November 20, 1976, and they spent over 41 years of marriage until his passing December 21, 2017.

Connie leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her beloved sons Nicholas (Carolyn) Berardino and Chirstopher Berardino both of Canfield, a step son Ron (Sabrina) Berardino of Boardman, her seven grandchildren whom she adored; Nicholas and Luke; Aviana, Gemma and Rocco; and Gianna and Zachary; and her siblings Yvonne (Doug) Blegen, Robert Simon, Denise (Tom) Gorman, Joseph A. (Joanne) Simon and David T. (Jenny) Simon along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by her brother Thomas J. “Tommy” Simon.
