In Loving Memory of Frank Patrick Romandetti (1954-2025)
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Frank Patrick Romandetti, who departed this life peacefully on April 19, 2025, at the age of 71.
He was born on January 11, 1954, on the Eastside of Youngstown. Frank embodied a strong work ethic - exemplified by his strength, humility, and unwavering devotion to the people and places he loved. He spent 20 years as a devoted first responder, serving his community with courage and compassion. On April 4, 1992, he earned his Associate's Degree as a Registered Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic from Youngstown State University, followed shortly after by a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences on August 29, 1992. Frank's commitment to learning and service reflected the tireless determination with which he approached every part of his life.
Frank would stop at nothing to make sure his family was always provided for - a testament to a legacy rooted in hard work, loyalty, and love.
Frank leaves behind the love of his life, Karen V. (Channell) Romandetti, born August 27, 1954 (70), who was raised in McDonald. Frank and Karen were wed on August 27, 1973, and would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this August. The passion and deep love shared between Frank and Karen were insurmountable. The pillars of strength and devotion to one another built the foundation of the family they would soon create - one marked by warmth, unity, and unshakable love.
Above all, Frank was a proud family man. He was a loving father to Christopher C.
Romandetti (49), Rachel Lynn (Romandetti) Averill (48), Adam T. Averill (43), and Frank
A. Romandetti (44). Frank was also an enthusiastic animal lover, and a Dog Dad to four adoring pups: Nikita, Jasmine, Chico, and Rhett, who brought him endless joy and companionship.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Christy A. Romandetti (85), (February 2, 1924 - February 7, 2009), and his mother, Josephine A. (Romandetti) LoSasso (89), (April 16, 1926 - December 10, 2015), whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
Frank lived his life guided by deep faith and a steadfast belief in God's grace. His Christian values were evident in the kindness he showed, the sacrifices he made, and the quiet strength he carried. A man of great spirit, Frank often spoke of his spiritual connection to the grizzly bear - a symbol of resilience, protection, and quiet power. Like the grizzly, Frank was a guardian of his family, a force of nature in times of challenge, and a deeply rooted soul whose presence will echo for generations.
Though he has left this earthly life, Frank's spirit remains - strong, steady, and ever present in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His was a life of meaning, of love, and of unshakable faith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
