Youngstown- Helen Elizabeth Wagner, 81, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2025. Helen was born to Charles and Virginia Mallory on September 15th, 1943. Helen grew up on the South Side of Youngstown. She raised her children in Boardman and Girard, returning to Youngstown where she happily resided the remainder of her lifetime.
Through the years Helen enjoyed gardening and creating rock, flower gardens. She spent much of her free time roaming Millcreek Park and Idora Park with her children. She enjoyed driving friends to appointments and for groceries. As a voracious reader, the library made weekly deliveries of a dozen or more novels, almost always Westerns. She volunteered for Good Will and recorded books on tape for the blind. She worked one season traveling with a carnival. She was a member of the Dames of Malta.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Betheta and brothers Leslie, Charles and Clarence. She leaves behind daughters Debra Wagner and Ann Kopp, a son Vance Wagner and sisters Blanche D’Apolito and Judy Estep, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
