Youngstown - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 430 Wiliamson Ave., Youngstown, preceded by a 9:15 am prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for John Louis "Kunjay" Antonucci Jr., 80, of Youngstown, who peacefully passed away Friday morning April 15, 2016. Kunjay will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. He was born July 8, 1935 in Youngstown, the son of John Sr. and Verna (Smith) Antonucci and was a lifelong area resident. John was a 1954 graduate of South High School and a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and the VFW Post #93 on South Ave. John was employed at the Mahoning County Court House in the maintenance department for over 40 years and retired in 2004. Kunjay had many enjoyments throughout his life, but his greatest passion was attending the Kentucky Derby, the Belmont and the Preakness. He always loved watching the horses anywhere and he was so happy to finally see a Triple Crown winner American Pharoah last year. He leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his children Lynda Harvey of Boardman, John (Sandy) Antonucci of Boardman, and Chuck (Janet) Antonucci of Struthers, six grandchildren Mark Kuhn, Nick and Alex Antonucci, Erin Young, and Shawn and Eric Antonucci, six great grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Brendon, Dawn Marie, Britlee and Rylee, and his brother and sisters, Robert Antonucci of Youngstown, Joseph Antonucci of Youngstown, Theresa Leone of Struthers, Patricia Antonucci of Youngstown, Richard (Jennifer) Antonucci of Boardman, and Thomas "Nuch" Antonucci of Struthers along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents John was preceded in death by a grandson George Kuhn and sister Mary Catherine Antonucci. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Burial will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown with military honors provided by the great men and woman of the United States Army.
