Jose A. Perez

Youngstown – Jose A. Perez Lopez, 79, of Youngstown, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.

Jose was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, the son of Gilberto and Maxima (Lopez) Perez and moved to the Youngstown area on June 9, 1986.

Jose was a hard worker all his life and worked as a farmer for many years in Puerto Rico.

He was an active member and did volunteer work for Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Jose had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his family and was a true “Mr. Fix It”.  

Jose leaves behind his beloved wife of over 38 years the former Iluminada Gonzalez, four children Joel Perez, Jose M. Perez, Marilyn Perez and Wanda (Reynaldo) Saunders, four step-children Emil (Patricia) Sanchez, Milagros (Edison) Medina, Brenda (Edwin) Montalvo and Maureen (Luis) Lugo, fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, 3 brother and one sister along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.  

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 2:50 pm at Youngstown Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, 155 Landsdowne Blvd., Youngstown where a funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
