Poland - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother, and friend, Larry Yaeger, 72, of Poland, who made his transition to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
He was born on September 18, 1951, the son of Russell and Mable (Cyrus) Yaeger, of New Middletown.
Larry graduated from Springfield Local High School in 1961 and furthered his education at Youngstown State University.
Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Camp Alibi in the Allegheny National Forest, Marienville, Pennsylvania. He was also a member of the Mahoning Valley Trap League where he enjoyed many hours of shooting.
Larry had been the manager of South Eastern Foam in New Middletown, and was also a member of Carpenters Local Union 171 from which he retired.
Larry married Wilma (Willie) Jean Kittave in 1974 and they were married forty years. They enjoyed gardening and had great love for their many dogs.
Larry is survived by his sister Peggy (Ron) Comerford of Temple, Texas, and brother Rodney (Betsy) Yaeger of New Middletown. He is also survived by his nieces Stacey (Bob) Boal of Franklin, Pennsylvania; Karin Myers of Temple, Texas; and Whitney (Jason) Mace of New Middletown, his nephews: R.E. Yaeger of Kentucky; and Tyler Yaeger of New Middletown, his great nieces: Katie and Sophia Boal; and great nephew Bobby Boal all of Franklin, Pennsylvania.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother-in-law, and his constant companion dog, Sawdust.
There will be no services at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
