Youngstown – Loretta Grace “Gracie” Campbell, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, September 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 2, 1942, in Morgantown, West Virginia, the daughter of Clarence and Hallie (Junkins) Shriver, and moved to the Youngstown area in 1962.
Gracie will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. A proud homemaker, Gracie made her family her top priority and filled her home with warmth, love, and the delicious smells of her cooking. She was especially known for her homemade cinnamon rolls, bread, and pies—family favorites that will be deeply missed.
Gracie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo, and spending time with her family. She also had a surprising talent as an auto mechanic and took great pride in working on cars—a skill not often expected but admired by those who knew her.
She leaves behind her daughter, Rebecca G. Antal; two sons, Daniel W. (Janice) Campbell and Harold L. Campbell, with whom she made her home—all of Youngstown. She also leaves nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, her sister Nellie Turney, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Gracie is now reunited with her parents; her beloved son, David John Campbell, who passed away on June 25, 2025; her sister; and seven brothers.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:50 p.m. at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman, where a funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Barbara Dobranchin.
The Campbell family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who cared for Gracie during this difficult time.
