New Middletown - Mary Jo Clacko, 67, of New Middletown, passed away peacefully Friday morning, February 2, 2024 with her devoted family and friends by her side.
Mary Jo will forever be remembered as a devout catholic, loving mother, proud grandmother, protective sister, supportive aunt, fun cousin, a treasured friend and esteemed colleague.
She was born November 16, 1956 in Youngstown, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Chimento) Clacko.
Mary Jo grew up in Hubbard. A former alumni and cheerleader at Hubbard H.S where she was bestowed the title of Homecoming Queen Class of 1975. Upon having children, Mary Jo prided herself as a homemaker and always made her family her top priority. Her front line career path as a paramedic, flight medic and search and rescue crewmember has selflessly saved countless lives. Later her profession transitioned into Human Resources and Hospitality Management. All in the states of Ohio, PA, and Florida.
Mary Jo was passionate about music, spent much time riding her Harley and found deep happiness from her horses. She had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her yard. Her most cherished days were spent at the beach and most stellar nights on the dance floor.
Mary Jo leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her beloved children Mary Ellen Marshall of New Middletown, Kristen Huff of Lowellville and Michael (fiancé Meagan Maher) Sauline of New Middletown, her nine grandchildren whom she had immense adoration for Gemma, Mena, Ava, Jaxon, Knox, Henry, Hazel, Paisley and Presley. Mary Jo also leaves the love of her life, her fiancé Michael McIntyre of Volant Pennsylvania, a sister Linda Clacko, a brother Henry (Terry) Clacko and her cat Smokey along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
